Hello,

I am Patrick, producing Libre Software - Whonix.

A doom 3 package [1] in Debian is licensed under GPLv3 with additional
terms as per GPLv3 clause 7. [2] You can find the original license file
here. [3]

I found an interesting discussion about that license online. [4] A
poster indicated to ask FSF about this.

> 1. Are the terms at the bottom of the license contractually
enforceable, despite the fact that they come after the text "END OF
TERMS AND CONDITIONS"?

> 2. Do these additional terms/modifications result in a license that is
incompatible with the GPLv3?

> 3. Is this a free software license, taken as-is, assuming that it is
completely enforceable and valid contractual language? Or conversely,
does its text violate any of the four essential freedoms?
>
> 4. Does the FSF agree, as copyright holders of the original GPLv3,
that these modifications/additions are in accordance with permissions
explicitly granted by the license to make these modifications?

I like to add.

5. Is there a guide or known good example or any FSF approved GPLv3
license that adds additional terms?

Could you please review and add that license to the list? [5]

I found quite a few GPLv3 clause 7 examples, adding further permissions
and restrictions. [6]

cc'd public whonix-devel mailing list so everyone can benefit from your
reply.

Cheers,
Patrick
